Roger is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. Roger had a hernia repaired during his neuter surgery. Weight: 55 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $599 Fence needed? Yes What kind of home would be best for me? Roger is a young dog that has never lived as a pet. He has a wonderful demeanor that will blossom in a home with patience and consistency. Roger requires a home with another dog for socialization and to learn from. He is good with dogs of all sizes and cats. Roger is going to be a bit of a project. Everything you teach him will be new. He is best suited for a home that has rescued before and understands that it will take time before he'll be the best, most confident version of himself. What is my personality like? Roger is a smart young man, he catches onto routine fast and will excel at obedience work. Roger is a bit shy at first but warms up with treats and patience. He will likely continue to be on the shy side for the first 30 days in a home. He just has never been a pet, this is all new to him. Roger enjoys playing with toys and will like be destructive in a home if not provided enough stimulation. He is a young standard poodle that needs plenty of physical and mental stimulation on a daily basis. Roger is going to need some confidence training, he is food motivated so this will be helpful! Roger is good in his crate and we would recommend that he has a crate in a home to provide a safe place for him to be while no one is home. Roger walked pretty well on the leash as one of his first few times on a leash. Roger is small dog friendly, cat friendly and large dog friendly. Roger is looking for a home with another dog, he thrives off a companion animal. Roger wants routine and compassion in a home. One day we do think he will make a great active companion, he will have to be taught to live this lifestyle. There is so much potential in this handsome boy! How do I act when I first meet new people? Shy at first, but enjoys treats Other tips and tidbits: Roger's birthday is 10/28/2021 House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.
