Meet Moon Baby, Rojito, Rosie, Daisy and Buddy!
These babes are a dream come true, born in the living room during the wee hours of February 12th and 13th, 2022. Proud mama, Maggie, is our three year old apricot toy poodle, adopted as a puppy while living in China. She is such a brilliant, sassy and sweet companion, we knew she would be a great mom and really wanted more of her. Dad is Winston, a handsome cream toy poodle.
Two of the puppies are on the redder side in color, three are more of a red apricot and all of them have secret wisps/patches of Winston's cream hidden about. A couple of the boys also have Winston's broader head and muzzle. As you can see, they are gorgeous on top of being so stinkin' cute!
Maggie, Neesy and Roux, our house dogs, were amazing. Some of our favorite learning was from their nightly classes we called How to Dog 101. Loud adult barking in the middle of the living room signaled the start of class, pups skittered for the safety of their cave under the couch, moments later, emerging in a wide eyed puppy pile at full attention to watch a demonstration of how to bark, tug, chase or fetch toys like real dogs do. The next day we would see puppies practicing whichever skill they learned the night before, first with one another, then with the adults. Amazingly sweet and so very smart!

Rosie is an adventurous girl, the first to lead her sibs on expeditions through the dog door, as well as to sneak up/over the gated staircase to frolic unsupervised with her fellow red, Rojito, in our bedroom. Rosie has quite a flirtatious and cuddly relational style, with a generous dose of spunk and assertiveness once she knows she will be well received. Her current leading edge is expressing her fearlessness with practice barks and growls. She certainly brings her mother's sass!
