Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (long coat). Pebbles (TX) is a male mixed breed rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that Pebbles is 13 months old as of Sept 2023. Pebbles is good with people of all ages and other dogs and cats. Pebbles was dumped in a shelter with an ear injury. He did not deserve to be treated the way he was and at a young age. He's an innocent puppy and deserves to live a happy life and that is exactly what we will find for him. He has such a sweet disposition even though humans failed him but he knows there are good ones out there just like his family is out there. Is that you? If you would like to be part of Pebble's story please apply online to adopt Pebbles (TX) at .rescuedogsrocknyc . RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue. All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
