Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff / Black Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). MEET MOMMA!!! This sweet girl is very sweet and is already housebroken and crate trained! She loves to be outside in the yard, and would love a home with a sunny grassy backyard to play in. Momma may have had a rough start in life, as she is a bit fearful of men, so few or no men in the home may be helpful, though she does have one in her current foster home and she does co-exist with. Momma is a smart girl who is also a great car rider! She'd love to be your co-pilot. She gets along with most dogs (currently living with a Doxy and a Heeler) but bigger dogs is not as fond of, so small to medium playmates would be best. Momma is a strong gal, so she'll need a confident handler as a leash-walker. If you are interested in meeting this dog, please visit our website for our online application .underdogaz

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
