Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed (short coat). Cassie is a stunningly beautiful 15 week old shepherd mix puppy, that is ready for her loving forever family. Cassie weighs 16 1/2 pounds of love and sweetness and she’s a gem of a puppy that is great with her foster family and their young children. She loves everyone she meets and has the best most loving and sweet demeanor, and has been great with all the children she’s met. She’s crate trained, and well behaved in the home. Cassie loves her squeaky toys and loves play time with other friendly dogs. She’s happy, loving, affectionate and incredibly smart and eager to learn. She will be an amazing addition to any loving family looking to add a sweet shepherd mix puppy to their loving family. Cassie has received three rounds of puppy boosters, a comprehensive fecal test, wellness exam, her rabies vaccination, deworming and is microchipped. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics.
