Dog Breed: French Bulldog. PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY BEFORE APPLYING Andre is a white French Bulldog, approximately 1 year old. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his vaccinations. Andre is a handsome young dog with beautiful coat markings and soft fur. Due to his background, Andre is still quite scared and will require a very patient adopter willing to help him continue building confidence. Andre comes from a puppy mill where he was not handled or socialized for the first nine months of his life. As a result, he never learned to trust people. Since being placed in patient and loving foster homes, Andre has started to come out of his shell, but he remains skittish. He enjoys spending time sniffing around outside and has not had any accidents when taken out appropriately. Andre is mostly a couch potato and may need gentle reminders to go outside. He can now go up stairs, though he has not yet mastered going down them. Andre will need a home with a completely and securely fenced yard, as he does not walk on a leash yet. It is also essential for Andre to have another small dog in the home, as he learns best by observing and interacting with other dogs. Because of his size and comfort level, children in the home should be at least 10 years old. Andre gets along well with other dogs and would make an excellent companion for someone who is home most of the time.
