Description
Dog Breed: Cattle Dog / Shepherd / Mixed (short coat). Some pets are in the Shelter and others in Foster homes. Please read the bio & email the address listed in the bio. Additionally for CATS you may email JSheltoneulesstx.gov and for DOGS, email trinitygapclubgmail Kaiser is a stunning mixed-breed pup with soulful eyes, a silky black-and-tan coat, and a heart as big as his smile. He’s the kind of dog who turns heads on walks, and he will steal your heart. Kaiser was adopted as a young dog out of the shelter. The family sent him to training where he excelled. However, Kaiser did not do well with their toddler. They felt it was best to return him, so he could find a home with older children. Kaiser is very intelligent, sweet, and obedient. He will do best with a family that will make him an active part of your their life. Kaiser is a great deal because he comes fully trained and ready to be part of your life. If you are interested in meeting Kaiser, please email Dalene Alsager <dee.rescuedogsgmail>

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
