Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Miniature Pinscher / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 550. Boomer was found living under a mobile home in Humble, Texas, surrounded by about 15 other dogs. That kind of life experience explains a lot—he’s food motivated, a little unsure at first, and always ready to compete for attention. But once he knows you, he’s all in. Boomer loves being held and loved on, and he really just wants to be close to his person. He hasn’t been around men or young kids, so it’s hard to say how he’d do there. What we do know is that he gets excited around food—he barks while you're preparing it and will take treats from your hand, though sometimes a little too enthusiastically. He means well, but he’s still learning how to be gentle. Boomer loves to run when he’s outside and will absolutely treat you to a good set of zoomies. He also barks when meeting larger dogs and strangers, so slow introductions are important. He came in with fleas, skin issues, and heartworm, but he’s been treated and is feeling much better now. Because he’s a jumper and still learning some manners, a home with older kids would be best. He enjoys dogs his size and would likely thrive with a playful companion. Boomer would do well with an active, loving family who can give him both structure and affection—something he’s gone without for far too long. Boomer is from Texas.
