This 2.5-year-old brown pit bull was found wandering the streets of Minneapolis—likely on a noble squirrel-related mission—and is now living her best life in foster care. Sweetie Pie has a laid-back, goofy energy that sneaks up on you. She’s a connoisseur of oversized sticks (think: small trees), a master of the full-body sploot, and a fan of spontaneous zoomies when the mood strikes. She’s got a quirky sense of humor, whether she’s trying to carry a log twice her size or accidentally bumping your hand when going for a toy—her coordination is a work in progress, but endearing all the same. Her hobbies include slow-roll fly hunting, spinning in delight when she plays, and snuggling like it’s her job. She gives big-hearted hugs (sometimes with her whole body), loves being close to her people, and fully believes she’s lap-sized. Sweetie also has the best sleep sounds—grumbly, contented old-man snores—and yes, the occasional thunderous toot. She gets along great with other dogs and brings her own unique flair to playtime: spinning, army crawling, and launching into fun like a joyful little cannonball. Sweetie Pie may be a little awkward, but she’s sweet, affectionate, and endlessly lovable.
