Dog Breed: Golden Retriever (long coat). Aya is a 4-year-old, female, purebred Golden Retriever that weighs approximately 60 lbs. She was recently surrendered by her owner who was unable to continue caring for her due to moving several times for employment and living in apartments. Aya is a sweet girl that wants nothing more than to be with people. She is house trained, kennel trained, and knows sit, stay, down, and shake. She does get a bit nervous in new situations and needs patience and time to adjust. Aya would do best in a quieter home where she can have her own space. Aya does fine with other dogs with a slow introduction but probably best as an only dog or with an older or low energy dog. She has met cats and done fine.
