Has done well with other dogs at the shelter No known experience with cats or children Stacy is a sweet and friendly girl who’s happiest when she’s with her people! She loves soaking up attention, going for walks, and lounging in the shade on nice days. Stacy is playful, cuddly, and has the most heart-melting smile when she’s happy. She knows “sit,” walks well on leash, and isn’t one to bark much—just a gentle, loving companion looking for a home where she can shine! Stacy has been waiting a while to find her family so her adopter can name their own adoption fee when they take her home! A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
