Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (medium coat). Cattle dog mix female puppy Welcome Tippy! This sweet and squiggly cattle dog mix was found wandering the streets of Fresno. Sound familiar? A Good Samaritan picked her up and the rest is history. Now on to bigger and way better! Tippy is a happy, social puppy. She’s very sweet and very playful…and with one ear up and the other not sure which way to go, she’s irresistibly cute. She already knows how to fetch. She’s dog social and great with cats; tries to lick and snuggle them. We have no doubt she’ll make a great adventure buddy for an active person or family. Tippy appears to be about 4 months of age and approximately 12lbs (currently). She will be dewormed, microchipped, and on a vaccine schedule. Located in Atascadero, CA. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
