Description
Dog Breed: Siberian Husky (short coat). Annika (A138638) is a 4-year-old Siberian Husky who weighed 44.3 pounds on intake! 06/09/25 This happy girl is Annika! Annika arrived at the shelter as a stray, but was surrendered to the shelter for adoption over the phone because her owner was unable to pick her up. She was found running with another dog and making friends at the dog park. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with new potential friends. Huskies are known for having a high prey drive, so if you have those smaller critters at home, please keep that in mind. Annika should always be on a leash, secure tie-out, or supervised when in a fenced-in yard. Annika has kept her kennel clean and tidy at the shelter, indicating that she might be housebroken. She may need some reminders as she settles into her next home. If you are interested in meeting Annika, please let us know!

Breed overview

Siberian Husky
A.K.A.: Chukcha, Chuksha
Overview:
The Siberian Husky is very similar in looks to the Alaskan Malamute, yet somewhat smaller in build and not quite as bold. Still, he needs a strong-willed owner who will stay in control. This dog loves to roam and explore, so he needs a nice big yard.
