Meet Layla – Our Little Pekingese Wallflower Raleigh, NC – Local Foster or Adopter Needed This is Layla, a 10-year-old Pekingese gal who recently came to us from a rescue in Virginia that is closing. We don’t know much about her past, but what we do know is that she’s up to date on her shots, spayed, and very much in need of a soft place to land. Layla is blind and deaf, which may explain why she seems so shut down right now. She mostly just lays quietly in her bed and doesn’t engage much with the other dogs. She seems... sad. And honestly, who wouldn’t be after all she’s been through? Can you help us show Layla that love still exists? She would do best in a calm, patient home where she can decompress, feel safe, and be gently guided as she adjusts to her new surroundings. Whether it’s through foster or adoption, what she needs most is kindness. We are looking for local homes in the Raleigh/Durham area only – we do not transport dogs.
