Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Bear (A138920) is a 2-year-old pittie mix who weighed nearly 50 lbs at intake! 07/05/25 This spunky girl is Bear! Bear arrived at the shelter because the person fostering her was no longer able to and her previous owner was not in a position to have her. Bear is a very sweet young lady! She loves belly rubs and gets along with just about every human she meets. She can be unaware of her size and strength, so she is not very mindful around babies and small children. Bear previously did well with other dogs. However, at her foster, she was said to not do well with the other female dogs in the home. Please use caution when introducing her to other dogs. A lot of things have changed in Bear's life, so she may be looking for some consistency and routine. She was said to be housebroken, but she has not spent much time in a kennel. Miss Bear loves car rides, and she can play a little rough. She needs some help with her manners, as she has been known to jump on people and counters. We highly recommend Bear go to a home without cats. She has been known to not be friendly toward them. This sweet and affectionate lady might be happiest as an only pet!
