Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Australian Shepherd (medium coat). Cattle Dog/Aussie mix puppy male Kovu was an owned puppy. His owner was incarcerated and upon release, failed to spring his little buddy. Kovu looks like a mini Aussie and Queensland and is around 6 months old. He's mostly this beautiful solid chocolate color, with white paws and a little blaze down his muzzle. He's energetic!! Such a happy little pup! He leaps into the air. Kovu is ready to roll. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
