Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Meet Mina! Let’s get one thing out of the way: I love other dogs. Like, really love them. If I see an older dog in the morning, I’m in their face giving kisses before they’ve even had their first stretch. Personal space? Never heard of her. So if I get a doggy sibling, they’ll need to be patient with my enthusiastic morning greetings. (Luckily, my foster siblings don’t mind one bit!) I’m super smart and know how to make the most of playtime—even in this hot weather. I grab my toys and carry them to the shady part of the yard, then flop down and play there. My favorite? My special red squeaky ball that only comes outside. I somehow find it every single time I go out—like magic. At home, I’m a chill girl. I barely ever bark indoors. You’ll usually find me under your feet, lounging on the stairs, or snuggled on the couch (yep, I figured that trick out fast). The only time I really get jazzed up is mealtime—food is my love language. Once it cools off, I’m going to make the best long-walk or hiking buddy. Until then, I’m happy to be your playful, snuggly, shade-loving sidekick. So… want to be my forever adventure buddy? She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and current with all vaccines (as appropriate for her age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Mina is currently being fostered in South Carolina. ADOPT MINA!! .LuckyPupRescueSC The adoption fee is $375.00 and we require a vet check and home visit.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
