She is a bit timid and skittish at first, but they may due to her hearing impairment. She does not have a formal diagnosis, but her current family says she cannot hear them at all. They must tap her on the shoulder to wake her up or walk up to her so she knows they are there. Despite this, Pickles is a happy and very curious dog. She was saved from the shelter, but the current dog in the home is not excited about having her there and is snipping at her.
