Description
Dog Breed: Cattle Dog / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $300.00. Meet Ace Bailey! Looking for a playful, loving pup to add to your family? Ace Bailey might be the perfect match! Ace is a 4-month-old Heeler mix with a happy-go-lucky personality. He currently weighs about 19 pounds and is expected to grow to around 55–60 pounds when full grown. This sweet boy is doing great with house manners and potty training, and he absolutely loves playing with other dogs. Whether it’s playtime or cuddle time, Ace is happy just being with his people. To know him is to love him, his goofy grin personality make you smile! I currently live with a cat; I do not like it. I like to chase it and see it run so I can chase it. A home without a cat would be best. Ace would thrive in a home where he can continue learning, stay active, and of course, get lots of love. Ready to meet Ace and see if he’s your new best friend? Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
