Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Rottweiler / Mixed (long coat). Midnight (A124597) is a 4-year-old lab mix who weighed almost 60 lbs at intake! 07/25/25 This handsome guy is Midnight! Midnight arrived at the shelter because his previous owner no longer had the time to devote to him. Midnight has been an absolute ham since arriving at the shelter, winning everyone over with his smile! He was said to be housebroken and kennel trained, though he was usually left loose in a room when left home alone. He was said to do well with babies, children, other dogs and even cats. He can be fearful of strangers and will bark at first. He prefers women, and he can be timid around tall men. Midnight was described as being outgoing, friendly and affectionate but occasionally shy. He was said to play gently and to mind well and ride well in the car. He has been known to jump on people and can be vocal, but he was said to know all sorts of commands! Midnight was said to know sit, spin, handshake, high five, pound it and lay down. However, his previous owner said that he is sometimes bratty about going into a full `lay down.` He loves to cuddle and go on hikes, and he LOVES playing in the water.
