Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Oscar (A137446) is a 1-year-and-2-month-old lab mix who weighed nearly 50 lbs at intake! 07/29/25 Oscar is back at the shelter because his surrendering family felt he deserved a home who spend more time with him. He was said to AMAZING with children, strangers, and adults! Oscar was also said to do great with other dogs but has no experience around smaller critters. Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new animals. Oscar was said to LOVE car rides, to be kennel trained, and mostly housebroken (he will wait by the door). He also knows the commands sit, lay, and wait and was said to generally mind well. Oscar does have a rough play style and was known to enjoy chewing. He is looking for a home that can provide him with plenty of mental and physical stimulation to keep him happy, healthy, and out of trouble! Oscar was said to love children and other dogs, but he has never been around babies. He was said to be kennel trained and housebroken. He was also said to generally mind well and to ride well in the car. Oscar can be rough when playing, but he was described as being an outgoing and friendly dog.
