Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Oreo (A139147) is a 2-year-old Lab mix who weighed 71.5 pounds on intake! 07/28/25 This adventurous pup is Oreo, and much like her name, she is very sweet! Oreo was described as an outgoing, friendly, and affectionate pooch! She grew up with children and was said to do well with people of all ages. However, she was known to be a bit of a food thief, especially with the kiddos. Oreo was also known to get into the trash if given the opportunity. Her prior owner noted that she is kennel trained, housebroken, and rides well in car! Her owner noted that her kennel is her safe place. She knows her basic commands but would still benefit from attending a basic obedience class to sharpen up her skills. Oreo is looking for a home that can keep her both mentally and physically stimulated so she stays out of trouble. Oreo has never lived with other animals and was said to bark at other dogs. She has in the past played with strays that have come onto the property. Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions to help set her up for success. Her surrendering owner also noted that Oreo is not a fan of the rain, falling snow, or playing in the water. She will do her business and then wants to come right back on inside. However, she does love playing in the snow as long as it is not actively snowing. Such a character! Oreo is a young girl looking for her new family to love and make memories with!
