Dog Breed: Great Pyrenees / Mixed (medium coat). Spots (A138128) is 1-year-and-3-month-old Great Pyrenees mix who weighed 60 pounds on intake! Foster update: Spots was said to be adjusting well in foster. She was said to love lounging on the couch! She still is pretty shy and stays close to the couch – her safe zone. Spots was said to do well with children of all ages and other dogs in her foster home! She does enjoy chewing on things, so providing her with appropriate chew toys is important! She was also said to do well for car rides! Spots is a sweet girl looking for a patient owner who can continue showering her with the love that she needs! 7/9/25 This shy gal is Spots! Spots was surrendered to the shelter after being quilled by a porcupine. She was seen by the shelter vet and then sent to an amazing foster home. As Spots has shown evidence of a high prey drive, we do find that she would do best in a home without smaller critters that she may be tempted to chase. Spots did previously live with other dogs but has no social experience with dogs from outside her surrendering home. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with all new animals. We also encourage her next owner to bring her to a basic obedience class to continue working on her manners and building her confidence. Spots is a very shy girl and has no experience children.
