Description
Dog Breed: Brittany / Border Collie / Mixed (medium coat). Buddy Holly is a 9-year-old liver and white Brittany mix currently being fostered in Michigan. With his curious nature, playful spirit, and mellow side, he’s the perfect combination of fun and easygoing. He enjoys running around the yard with bursts of happy energy, then settling in for a nap or cuddle session. Walks are always on his list of favorites, and he proudly carries his beloved stuffies and squeaky toys everywhere he goes—they’re his treasures, and he’ll happily show them off to you. This sweet boy is both house trained and crate trained, which makes him a wonderful housemate. Buddy isn’t a fan of most other dogs and would prefer to be the only pet in his home, but he has so much love to give that you won’t feel like you’re missing out. While he hasn’t been tested with children, we think he’d be happiest in a calmer home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids who can respect his space and relaxed lifestyle. At about 52 pounds, Buddy is a solid, sturdy companion who will happily curl up next to you when it’s time to wind down. Though usually calm and easygoing, Buddy has a strong sense of responsibility when it comes to his home and family. He takes his role as the “alert dog” seriously and will let you know if something unusual is happening around the house. He also has a playful streak that can get him into a little mischief—like digging if he’s bored—so he’ll do best with some structured playtime, activities, or enrichment to keep his curious mind busy. What makes Buddy so special is his ability to balance joy and companionship. He’s playful without being overwhelming, affectionate without being clingy, and loyal through and through. He’s the kind of dog who will brighten your day with a silly toy parade, keep you company on a walk, and then settle in quietly at your side when it’s time to relax. Buddy Holly has been waiting patiently for his happily-ever-after. Could you be the one to give this sweet boy the forever home he deserves?
