He came in as a feral dog and has made tremendous progress with his socialization over the years. He can be a bit shy with new people at first but warms up after patience and lots of treats! Due to his initial shyness, he may do better with kids in high school and up. Syrup was previously listed as needing to be the only dog in the home, but since being with his newest foster, he has been doing exceptionally well being introduced and going on pack walks with neighboring dogs. Due to his progress, his status has been updated to "must meet" which requires potential adopters to bring in any dogs currently in the home for a meet and greet with Syrup to make sure it is a good fit. Syrup likes spending his days chilling in the pool, playing with his toys or just sharing a nice cuddle on the couch. He did start having seizures and is currently on a trial round of Keppra. He is doing well and hasn't had a seizure since starting the medication. Syrup has thrived in all sorts of foster homes, but it's time he finds his forever home!
