Description
Dog Breed: Husky (medium coat). Sequoia (A139216) is an 8-year-old AK Husky who weighed 50.8 pounds on intake! 08/04/25 This sweet old man is Sequoia! Sequoia was surrendered to the shelter because his owner could no longer care for him. Sequoia is a retired sled dog. His surrendering owner has been trying to transition him into an indoor dog over the past couple of months. However, they are still struggling with him having accidents in the home. He was described as a shy but friendly boy. He was said to do well with children, strangers, and adults. He also got along well with other dogs but has no experience with cats or smaller critters. Huskies are known for having a high prey drive so if you do have those smaller critters around, please keep that in mind. Even though Sequoia has reached his golden years he still has plenty of spunk and enjoys getting outside and going on adventures! He was also known to enjoy digging outdoors! If you are interested in meeting Sequoia and feel that you could provide him with his retirement home, please let us know!
