Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog (long coat). Osa (A139055) is an 8-year-old German Shepherd who weighed 63 pounds on intake! 08/05/25 Miss Osa is back at the shelter and still looking for her right fit! She was brought back after a brief adoption due to no fault of her own. Sadly a child in the home had severe allergies to her dander. They said Osa was a great pup while in their care and only wish her the best! If you are interested in providing this girl with a loving home for her senior years, please let us know! 07/22/25 This oh so fabulous girl is Osa! Osa arrived at the shelter as a stray, so we have no behavioral information on how she is in a home setting. At the shelter, she has had no accidents, indicating that she may already be housebroken. She was initially a bit of a door bolter when we opened her kennel so that is something for her new owner to keep in mind. She should always be on a leash, secure tie-out, or supervised when in a fenced-in yard. We do not know if Osa has experience being around or living with other animals or children. Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new potential friends. Even though Osa is in her senior years, she still has plenty of spunk and is looking for a home that can keep her both mentally and physically stimulated. Osa also went out for bloodwork and a dental cleaning courtesy of the amazing shelter fund! She is doing great and officially ready to find her new home!
