Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Lilac's heart is as big as her beautiful smile! Lilac's story hasn't been easy - she was a terrified pup found wearing a rope around her neck running in a cornfield down south to being brought into rescue where she froze in fear. Now, she's learning what real love and care is and is ready for a brand new beginning. This sweet girl is shy at first, but once she warms up, she's all love and wiggles. Her favorite things? Food, treats, ear scratches, lap time (or at least being right next to you), and playful wrestling with her foster family and their dog. Because she's still learning to trust the big world outside, Lilac would thrive in a patient home with a fenced yard and confident canine companion to show her the ropes. With time and love, she's going to blossom into the loyal, silly best friend you've been seeking.
