Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Rottweiler / Mixed (medium coat). Alma (A138694) is a 17-week-old GSD X Rottweiler mix puppy who weighed 23.16 pounds on intake! 08/04/25 Alma was brought to the shelter as a stray. Her finder noted that she has not been eating and has seemed unwell. We tested for Parvovirus, and sadly, the results came back positive. Alma immediately started a treatment plan, including a new parvo treatment that included an iv treatment of Parvovirus monoclonal antibodies. This treatment also results in a shorter shedding time of the virus! Alma responded fabulously to the treatment and is now looking for her new home! However, her next owner should be diligent about keeping her current on her vaccines. Alma still needs continued help with her training and is looking for a patient and loving owner to help her along! She is a very sweet girl looking for her second chance! They were part of a litter of ten puppies and found themselves to be the last ones looking for their families to love. Their mom was stated to be a German Shepherd, and their dad a Rottweiler. A reminder that puppies are a lot of work but worth the reward if you have the time to devote to them. They have been working on kennel training but will also need continued help with potty training, basic commands, and positive socialization.
