She’s affectionate, playful, and the perfect mix of hiking buddy and cuddle companion. A medium-energy dog, Zelda enjoys an active lifestyle but also loves to settle in for quality snuggle time. She gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and has been fostered with several canine friends. Zelda would do well with a dog sibling to show her the ropes, but she’s just as happy soaking up all the love as an only dog. Zelda can be a little shy when meeting new people and may alert bark at first, but she warms up quickly and shows her true affectionate. She has done well meeting dog savvy children and has ignored cats. She loves hiking adventures with her foster mom and siblings, splashing in water (rivers, sprinklers, even puddles!), and playing fetch—she not only chases the toy but proudly brings it back every single time. She also knows her basics: sit, paw, kennel/crate, and she’ll happily roll over on demand for belly rubs. At home, Zelda is a star. She is fully house trained and crate trained, often choosing to rest in her crate on her own (though she’d love a chew bone to keep her busy inside!). On leash, she walks politely and especially enjoys pack walks where she can practice her manners.
