This laid-back guy is just happy to be part of the fun; whether that means lounging on the couch or strolling around the neighborhood with his favorite humans. Dewey gets along great with dogs of all sizes and adores people. He does well with greeting new dogs and has lived with lots of other dogs and been good with them all. He has not met any cats but he would most likely be fine with them. Similarly, he has not been around kids, but he is so sweet and gentle, he would probably do well. Dewey is both potty and mostly crate trained. He walks well on a leash and enjoys going for walks. If you’re looking for a sweet, low-maintenance companion who is equal parts cuddle buddy and walking partner, Dewey’s your guy. He is ready to find his forever home—could it be with you? Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
