Dog Breed: Beagle / Foxhound / Mixed (short coat). adoption donation : $599 weight 37 lbs Age: 3 years Alex is a sweet, friendly and affectionate boy who loves to play and gets along with everyone. Alex was found by W.A.G.S. at the local shelter in Okolona Mississippi. Even though the rescue is bursting at the seams with dogs, the director couldn’t leave him there, shelter employees said he was the sweetest dog. Alex fit in beautifully at the rescue, he loved to run and romp with the other dogs. On Saturday August 23 Alex made the long trip From Mississippi to the north east to a Foster home where he made himself right at home, bonding with his Foster Mom within hours. Alex doesn’t have a drop of aggression, he is just a really nice calm and gentle dog. He has had his vaccinations and has been neutered and will make a wonderful companion to the lucky family who adopts him. Please note that Wags of Monroe county is a struggling 501(c) 3 volunteer organization where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs. Wags desperately need to raise funds to help the sick and older dogs at the rescue. Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue.
