Description
Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $350. AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Jed is melting hearts wherever he goes. This sweet, low key gentleman is ready to find his forever family. Jed is past the puppy stage and estimated to be between 3-5 years old. He was found as a stray and very malnourished, but remained his positive, friendly self the entire time. His nice friends at the shelter helped him slowly gain some much needed weight and he’s sitting at a healthy 63 lb now. He’s got a tall and rather lanky build. Jed is calm, gentle, and cuddly in the house. He has been great with the other dogs and kids in his foster home. He’s content to sit on the couch and watch tv, but can also match your energy well and chase around a ball and play outside. When playtime is over, he’ll happily return to couch potato status! We think Jed would be great with another dog buddy or just as happy as an only pup. He’d probably fit into lots of different homes - he’s very versatile. Jed hasn’t had any accidents in his foster home so we suspect he’s housebroken, as well. If we’re being picky, he could work on his leash skills, but we know that will come with time and practice. If you’re looking for a chill adult dog, look no further. Email almosthome4dogsyahoo and ask to meet our friend Jed! (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php . We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us at AlmostHome4Dogsyahoo. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!
