Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (medium coat). Cattle Dog mix male puppy Welcome Noah! A tiny red heeler mix pup from you guessed it…the streets of Bakersfield. Noah was found along with his sister on farmland in East Bakersfield. The owner threatened to kill them so one of the workers picked them up and took them home. Rescue was found and here they are sitting pretty in Templeton, CA. Lucky dogs! Noah is around 10 -12 weeks of age (as of 8/28/25) . He is smaller than she appears in photos and totally adorable. Just what you’d expect from a young heeler - full of energy and personality. A breed familiar adopter will be the best home for Noah. Noah is on a vaccine schedule and can go home on a neuter contract. More photos and updates: .facebook/media/set/?set=a.1525942815034034&type=3 Interested in Noah? Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
