Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Phoenix! Phoenix is a stunning 2-year-old Shepherd mix with a golden-brown coat and a heart of pure gold to match. Weighing in around 65–70 lbs, this gentle boy has quickly captured hearts with his calm, sweet demeanor. Phoenix is friendly with everyone and he’s been wonderful around other dogs too. His backstory tells us he’s been around kids before and did great with them, which makes him a wonderful candidate for a family home. While we don’t know how he feels about cats, we do know he’s very smart, eager to please, and easy to handle. He has a low energy level, isn’t a barker, and doesn’t show any food aggression. Phoenix walks nicely on leash, isn’t reactive, and enjoys car rides. He isn’t destructive and might like a yard—but could thrive in a home with or without one. This boy is still learning some of the basics like house training and crate training, but he’s such a gentle soul that with consistency, he’ll catch on quickly. Phoenix is not yet neutered, but that’s on the schedule. What he’s ready for right now is a loving family who will see just how special and gentle he truly is.
