Dog Breed: Poodle (unknown type) (short coat). Adoption Fee: 620. ✨ Meet Gypsy & Indie – Sisters with Style! ✨ These two 8-week-old Standard Poodle sisters are small in size (just over 4 lbs each!) but big in personality. Gypsy (white) is the confident big sis. She’s always first in line – for meals, for cuddles, and for attention. She knows what she wants and isn’t shy about letting you know! Indie (grey) is the sweet, patient one. She waits her turn, then melts right into your arms like butter. Don’t be fooled though—when she’s had enough of her sister’s bossiness, she’s not afraid to sass her right back. Both girls: Have amazing appetites and even figured out their treat toy already—smart little cookies! Do well in their playpen and kennel. Are settling into a happy routine: eat, potty, play, nap, repeat. Lean in closer for snuggles every single day as they learn what true love is. They received their first set of vaccines today and will need to return to one of our preferred facilities for the next rounds (in 3–4 weeks, then a final booster, and later their spays). Gypsy & Indie are available now for pre-adoption! An adoption agreement and fee are required to take one of these little ladies home.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
