He has a medium energy level and enjoys going for walks, playing in the yard, and snuggling up after a day of fun. Elio would thrive in a home that is ready to keep up with his smarts and energy while giving him plenty of affection and structure. He gets along well with other dogs and plays respectfully with pups of all sizes in his foster home. Elio is also very gentle with cats—he likes to observe the neighbor’s cat up close but never chases or bothers it. He has been fostered with teenagers and has done well around children of all ages, often joining in play and games. Elio is house trained and crate trained, spending one to two hours crated during the day when needed. He enjoys his walks and walks well both alone and alongside other dogs. Elio is eager to learn and has been picking up cues quickly with encouragement from his foster family. He has also adjusted beautifully to his foster’s routine and responds well to guidance.
