Sweet, happy and friendly, Norm’s got it all - he just needs a home where he can strut his stuff and claim a couch. He’s pretty chill, but does enjoy running after toys in the backyard. Norman is happiest being a lap dog and will gladly settle in for snuggles any time of day. Norman gets along great with other dogs and would likely do well with dog-savvy kids, too. When meeting new pups, he can come off a little indifferent at first, but he plays well and is super friendly. He’d do best in a cat-free home due to his strong interest in chasing them. Norm has all his house manners down to a science. He knows to potty outside, crates nicely for a few hours during the day, and enjoyed furniture privileges for his good-boy behavior. He walks well on a leash and will greet you with a happy tail wag to show his appreciation for daily strolls. Are you looking for a lap warmer? Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
