She’s a laid-back lady who will thrive in a home where she can get plenty of games of fetch and quality snuggles. Trudy is a social butterfly who loves to meet and play with other dogs. She’s thrilled to meet new humans, too, and has done wonderfully with all of the kids she’s encountered. Trudy gets along well with cats and is respectful of their space—truly a feline’s dream companion. Her favorite activities include playing with other dogs and enjoying time outside. Trudy is house trained, and she sees her crate as a safe space and will hang out in it even when the door is open. She enjoys going on leash walks to take in the sights and smells. Trudy is an independent who enjoys having fun and is also content to spend time on her own, making her an easygoing companion. After making sure her pups were all safe, Trudy can’t wait to move into her next chapter. Is she the laid-back companion you’ve been waiting for? Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
