Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Miniature Pinscher / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 450. Meet Carlo—though he also answers to Gizmo, the name he’s known for the past eight years! Since RSR already has a few Gizmos, we’re calling him Carlo for now, but his forever family will get to decide which name suits him best. Carlo is the sweetest little guy with the cutest ears and a heart full of love. He’s a total cuddle bug who adores being in a lap and giving kisses. He’s curious about his surroundings and enjoys exploring the nooks and crannies of his foster home, but he never strays too far from his person. This smart pup walks nicely on a leash, goes outside without issue, and is doing well with potty training—just a few small accidents so far, and he even tries to use the pee pad when needed. He’s a good eater, has a happy wagging tail, and passed his dog meet-and-greet with flying colors. At night, Carlo is still getting used to sleeping in his kennel. He may whine or squeak a little at first, but usually it’s just his way of saying he needs a potty break. Once he settles, he sleeps soundly. Overall, Carlo is well-behaved, affectionate, and simply a joy to have around—the shelter employee even says he’s better than her own Chihuahua! He’s truly a good boy who’s ready to be someone’s loyal little buddy. Carlo is from a local impound.
