Description
Dog Breed: Poodle (Standard) / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Sadie! This adorable girl is just amazing! Sadie is around 4-5 months old and currently around 25 lbs. She has some growing to do still and will likely grow to around 45 lbs. She is said to be a lab/poodle mix but her look is reminiscent of a Boykin. Super cute. Sadie is a lovely pup with a wonderful temperament. She is working in potty training and crate training in her foster home and is doing well with that. She loves playing with the other dogs and loves her toys. She is learning all about walks and needs a bit more work on feeling comfortable with a harness and leash. She will get there. She is very food motivated so that helps with training. Sadie is very friendly to everyone and loves attention. She does not love being alone for too long but that is not unusual for a puppy. Sadie is vaccinated, microchipped and will be spayed soon. Her adoption fee is $525 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Overview:
The Labradoodle is a mix between the Labrador Retriever and the Poodle. Both breeds are excellent for children and families. The Labradoodle became known in 1988, when Australian breeder Wally Conron crossed the Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle at the Royal Guide Dogs Associations of Australia in Victoria. Conron's aim was to combine the low-shedding coat of the Poodle with the gentleness and trainability of the Labrador, and to provide a guide dog suitable for people with allergies to fur and dander. Sultan, a dog from this litter, displayed all the qualities Conron was seeking and worked as a guide dog for a woman in Hawaii for ten years. Although Guide Dogs Victoria no longer breed Labradoodles, they are bred by other guide and assistance dog organizations in Australia and other places. The Association for the Blind of Western Australia has introduced Labradoodles into their training program, and their first, Jonnie, graduated in November 2010. Labradoodles are now widely used around the world as guide, assistance, and therapy dogs as well as being popular family dogs. The Norwegian Royal Crown Prince and Princess own a Labradoodle.
