Description
Dog Breed: Pomeranian (long coat). This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Teddy is a sweet, loving, and deeply devoted 6.5-year-old 18-pound Pomeranian who’s learning what it means to be a pampered, indoor pup for the very first time. Having spent his life outdoors, he’s discovering the joy of snuggly blankets, chew toys, and the security of a loving home, and let us tell you, it's been absolutely heartwarming to witness. He is shy at first, especially with new people or environments, but once he trusts you, you’ll have a loyal shadow who’s always by your side. When you're petting him and stop too soon, expect a gentle nudge to let you know he’s not done yet. Watching Teddy explore new toys, sniff around a cozy room, or learn about the joys of chewing bones is like watching a puppy discovering the world — pure joy! Teddy is looking for a calm, patient, and loving home with someone who is around more often than not. He thrives on routine and gentle guidance, and he’s learning quickly with positive reinforcement and consistency. Teddy will need a secure yard and a quiet, stable environment in his forever home. A family or person committed to continuing his potty training and helping him gain confidence would be best for Teddy, and perhaps another calm and friendly dog would be a bonus, but not a must. Teddy is crate trained and working hard on his house training, which he will need lots of patience and reinforcement with in his new home. He is doing well with walking on a leash. Teddy is a chill passenger and rides well in the car — perfect for weekend adventures or vet visits. He is currently on a nutritious diet to help his coat fill in. Ready to meet Teddy? If you have the time, heart, and calm environment to help Teddy continue his journey into indoor dog life, he’s ready to meet you! Interested in adopting? Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption.
