Description
Dog Breed: Hound / Mixed. Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: No Good with kids: Yes Crate trained: Mostly House Trained: Yes Corey BMW is as gentle and loving as they come! He has a medium energy level and his ideal home would be with a family ready for a puppy and to continue his training. Corey gets along wonderfully with kids and other dogs, making him an easy fit for just about any family. He would probably do best in a home without a cat though. Some of his favorite things include playing with his foster siblings in the backyard or chewing on a good toy! Corey is housebroken and almost fully crate trained; he goes in for a treat and may whine for a couple minutes but then settles fully. He has not been on a leash a ton but is working on his skills and building confidence. With continued puppy training, he'll likely continue to pick up these skills quickly. Corey BMW is looking for a forever home where he can feel safe, loved, and cherished. Could that be with you? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at .lasthopek9. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
