Description
Dog Breed: Boxer. 10/1/2025 Loki III is an owner surrender looking for a new home. Hi! My name is Loki! I am a handsome 5-6 year old flashy brindle boy that is an owner surrender due to not getting along with another dog in the home. I am described as friendly, quiet, and nervous! I currently live with a female and male dog and do not get along with the male dog in the home so for everyone's safety it is best I am the only dog in the home. I am said to have lived with a cat and got along well with them! There are 4 kids in my home (ages 4-17 years) and am great with them, even allowing them to lay on me! I am house trained, crate trained, and at night I sleep in my kennel. If the humans must be away, I am fine being alone. When outside I have good behavior and do not dig or attempt to jump fences/gates. I am afraid of the lawnmower but love riding in the car, butt pats, and cuddles! I don't really care for toys and prefer to be lazy instead. My current owner says I am a "big teddy bear and love to cuddle". I do not know what personal space is and think your lap is my lap. If you think I would make a great addition to your family, contact the rescue and give them my name because I am waiting to meet you!

A.K.A.: Deutscher Boxer, German Boxer, Dutch Boxer, Boxer dog, Boxy, Boxerman
Overview:
The Boxer is a medium-sized, short-haired dog breed of German origin, known for its distinctive appearance and vibrant personality. Physically, Boxers possess a strong, athletic build with a characteristic square head, an undershot jaw, and often a docked tail and cropped ears (though these practices are becoming less common). Their short, glossy coat typically comes in fawn or brindle, often with white markings. Temperamentally, Boxers are renowned for being incredibly loyal, intelligent, and energetic, making them fantastic companions for active families. They thrive on human interaction and can be playful and patient with children, making them excellent family pets. While their energy levels require regular exercise, their adaptability means they can adjust to apartment living if their activity needs are consistently met. However, potential owners should be aware of certain health considerations, including a predisposition to some cancers, heart conditions like cardiomyopathy, and hip dysplasia, underscoring the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary check-ups.
