Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever (medium coat). Lazuli (A139256) is a 4-year-old Lab who weighed 56.4 pounds on intake! 10/06/25 Lazuli was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of her own, but due to an upcoming baby in the home. Lazuli has no experience with babies but was said to do well with toddlers and LOVES attention from strangers! She was described as an outgoing, friendly, and affectionate girl! Lazuli was said to be kennel-trained, housebroken, and rides well in a car (but does not like being left alone in the car). She was also said to be well-mannered and knows her basic commands. She is one smart cookie! Lazuli even has history with doing scent work and may enjoy attending more scent classes! When it comes to other animals, Lazuli was said to have been raised with cats and will bark at dogs to play. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with all new animals to help set her up for success. Unlike most labs, Lazuli was described as a grazer and takes her time with food. Her prior owner also noted that Lazuli has had issues with her anal glands in the past and we encourage her next owner to follow up with their vet. Lazuli does have a bite on her record, but it was deemed accidental as her prior owner accidentally stepped on her and she reacted.
