Description
Dog Breed: Doberman Pinscher. Meet Rambo, our rescued Doberman Pinscher. He came to the Cat House in need of immediate medical attention. After he went to visit the vets, we learned he was born with a malformation in his genital area. The vet did a wonderful job at fixing his issue. Cosmetically he looks different, but he's able to take care of his necessities. Rambo enjoys being around his people and the resident dogs. He's learned how to walk on a leash and he's house trained. Rambo is neutered, and he's current on his vaccines. This BIG guy currently weighs 75 lbs, with lots of energy and still growing. This breed is very smart and Rambo has lots of potential with the right home. He will require daily walks and tons of exercise. Please apply today he won't last long. Please note: The adoption fee for Rambo is $350 (not subject to any discount or special offer). Overview:
The Doberman Pinscher is a sleek and powerful breed originating from Germany in the late 19th century, specifically developed by Karl Friedrich Louis Dobermann for protection. Known for their striking, athletic build, Dobermans typically possess a short, glossy coat that comes in black, red, blue, or fawn, often with rust-colored markings. Their temperament is a fascinating blend of loyalty, intelligence, and alertness, making them exceptional guardians and devoted companions. While highly trainable and eager to please, they require early socialization and consistent training to channel their energy and protectiveness appropriately. Dobermans can thrive in active families who can provide ample exercise and mental stimulation, but their need for space and activity generally makes them less suitable for small apartment living unless exceptionally well-exercised. Regarding health, they are predisposed to certain conditions like Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM), Von Willebrand's Disease, and Wobbler Syndrome, so responsible breeding and veterinary care are paramount.
