Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Ruthy Grace (A133527) is a 1-year-and-10-month-old Lab mix who weighed 54.7pounds on intake! 10/20/25 Ruthy Grace was surrendered back to the shelter because she was too strong for her adoptive owner. While in their care she was described as a shy but friendly dog who is very affectionate once she knows you! She was said to be kennel trained, housebroken, and to know her basic commands. She also was said to ride well in a car! Ruthy Grace was said to love going on runs and would appreciate a home that can keep her both mentally and physically stimulated! She was said to have done well with small dog in the home but has no other experience with other animals. Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new animals to set her up for success! They originally were surrendered to the shelter because their prior owner had too many pups to care for. During their time in foster they have gotten a jump start with potty training and positive socialization! In foster they met other dogs and got to smell cats but they kitties tended to stay away. Please ensure you continue with positive socialization as they age! Puppies are a lot of work and take time, patience, and commitment.
