Dog Breed: Samoyed / Mixed (long coat). Luna Moon is a one-year-old, ~60 lb Samoyed mix who found herself wandering as a stray in Minnesota before being rescued and given a second chance at a brighter life. Now she’s ready to trade her uncertain start for a forever home filled with love, playtime, and adventure! Luna is a social butterfly who loves being around people and other dogs. She thrives on companionship—whether she’s playing chase in the yard or curling up close for pets and attention. When she’s feeling especially affectionate, she’ll sprawl out right across your lap for snuggles. With her curious spirit, Luna is always eager to learn new things and enjoys activities that keep her mind busy, like puzzle toys and Kongs. She is so silly and loves to play with stuffed animal toys and chew on bones. She’s also a great travel buddy who loves car rides (especially if a pup cup is involved!). She’s still learning basic house manners, but is potty trained. Luna sleeps through the night in her crate, although she does whine a bit before settling down and would be best in a home without shared walls. She has plenty of energy and would love a fenced in yard where she can run freely. She is good with kids, as well as seniors. She sat right in front of my 7yr old to get pets. Didn't jump up on him or get too excited. Luna does have a prey drive, so she’ll need a home without small animals, such as chickens or other critters. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
