Dog Breed: Rat Terrier / Mixed. Dumpster Dan is a very playful little boy. Sometimes he can be a little nippy with strangers, specially when he's picked up too fast. A few times he has acted very shy and just hid in another room when new people visit the house. However, after a few hours, he will warm up if you offer him treats and move slowly and sit next to pick (always try to pick him when you're on his side instead of standing face to face to him). Dan loves to play with other dogs his size and he also gets along with larger pups. At night, he doesn't have any potty accidents. During the day, he will cry to let you know that he needs to poo/pee and to indicate that he wants to join the other dogs playing outside. Rescue Story: Dan was found as a stray on the street. His foster mom who spotted him alone thinks that he had just been abandoned by his previous "owner." This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)
