Quick Facts: Breed: Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua Mix Age: 4 years Weight: 14 lbs House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes Good with Dogs: Yes (prefers dogs her size but does well with all) Good with Cats: Not tested Good with Kids: Yes Energy Level: Moderate Fence Required: Yes Special Traits: Smart, playful, affectionate, food-motivated, and very loyal once comfortable Why You’ll Love Juni: Super sweet and affectionate once she feels safe Loves to play and nap equally Gets excited for “walkies” and sniffaris Very food-motivated and eager to learn A perfect balance of fun and relaxation Good with everyone, but is a girl's girl at heart and loves female energy! About Juni’s Breed: The Miniature Pinscher and Chihuahua mix combines confidence, intelligence, and affection in a small package. These breeds are alert, curious, and loyal, forming strong bonds with their people. Juni embodies those traits beautifully—she’s bright, responsive, and devoted, but just needs a gentle touch to help her shine. Once she trusts you, she’ll be your shadow and your biggest fan. Juni’s Story & Personality: Because of Juni's unknown past, she is shy and timid when meeting new people. If you give her patience and time to come out of her shell at her own pace, she blossoms into a loving little dog who’s equal parts playful and cuddly! When she's comfortable, her silly, affectionate personality shines through! She’s housebroken, crate trained and can be left alone without her crate. She adores her walks (and recently completed a 5 mile walk with her foster mom!), interactive toys, and any game that engages her quick mind. Juni does great with women and kids and enjoys the company of other dogs, preferably those close to her size. While she hasn’t met any cats yet, she’s shown a friendly, gentle temperament. Juni’s Ideal Home: Patient adopter willing to give her time to build trust Female household preferred Fenced yard for safe playtime Enjoys both play and relaxation A home who needs a great walking buddy (Juni loves to explore!) Family with kids or other small, friendly dogs Ready to Give Juni the Love She Deserves? Juni is pure love wrapped in a small, gentle frame—just waiting for someone patient and kind to help her fully bloom into the loyal companion she’s meant to be. Breed overview
Overview:
The Chipin, a lively cross between the Chihuahua and Miniature Pinscher, originated in the United States as a designer breed. These small yet sturdy dogs typically weigh between 5-10 pounds, boasting a short, smooth coat that comes in various colors like black, tan, chocolate, and fawn. Physically, they often inherit the Chihuahua’s apple-shaped head or the Miniature Pinscher’s sleek build, with expressive eyes and alert ears. Temperamentally, Chipins are known for being affectionate, energetic, and surprisingly courageous, often displaying a "big dog" personality in a small package. They can be excellent companions for individuals or families with older children, and their compact size makes them highly suitable for apartment living, provided they receive adequate exercise. While generally healthy, potential health concerns include patellar luxation, dental issues, and heart conditions, inherited from their parent breeds. Early socialization and consistent training are crucial for a well-adjusted Chipin.
